SEO Works to Increase Traffic, Leads & Sales
A comprehensive SEO service means just what it says…the full meal deal! We take all of our existing services and put them to work on your website.
SEO Research Phase:
The first and most important phase of any SEO project is to assess where your site is currently at by looking at existing traffic, evaluating current user tendencies, full keyword analysis to be sure the SEO campaign focuses on keyword terms that provide traffic that generates leads & sales to your business. That is the ultimate goal.
The next step involves going through the full website analysis to be sure the existing code on the page is optimized for the search engines. We review items such as Meta data, use of clean code, using proper tags such as heading tags and others, reviewing keyword density on the page and in key areas. This step may sometimes be left until later depending on how much re-writing is necessary for the project, but we generally will do this right away to optimize what already exists while we prepare for further development.
The research phase continues with complete link analysis. We review all current links for possible improvements and evaluate which links pass the most "link juice". We also compare to your top competition to set our baseline. Links can say a lot about a site and tell an especially important story to the search engines. See more about link building in our Link Building Services page.
During this phase we will also look at previous site data for visits and discover your website's existing traffic trends. If no statistics are available we will need to look at installing analytics as the websites offering data on website trends are generally not very accurate and don't always have data on all websites. If we do install analytics, we'll need to run a baseline test for a number of weeks to have some background data. The time needed can vary depending on traffic levels. Websites with higher traffic levels will take less time to produce an adequate data sample than lower traffic sites.
We will also do some of this research on your competition to pin point what they may be doing right or wrong in the search engines and use that data in the planning phase.
Plan of Action:
The next step is to take the data retrieved and come up with an online marketing plan that will result in increased leads and sales to your site. The research phase makes the planning phase much easier because the data is all there for us to review and compare.
Keywords would be the main area to focus and decide which keywords to target based on the monthly search volumes and whether or not they bring qualified traffic to the site which will convert into buyers.
We work to plan the direction with content and developing content that attracts website users and drives them to action, whether it is to fill a contact form or to purchase a product. Sometimes content can come in the form of added features to the site. The saying in the SEO business is "Content is King". The saying has been around for years and still stands true. If your site has good content, it does a number of things:
- Keeps people coming back to your site
- Gives other website owners a reason to link to you which is necessary for any link building strategy
- Lets the search engines know you keep your site updated and refreshed. Generally, the more often you update content, the more often search engines will crawl you website.
With the advent of social media, the major search engines have made a greater push to make sure they are bringing relevant & current content to people in the search results. It has become much more about user experience and search engines are measuring your site with factors that show your site's value to users. This has shown in the new pushes into "Local Search Results". We'll touch on this more in our blog soon!
At this point we'll also plan for conversion optimization and whether the site may need to be re-organized for increased performance. Properly outlining our funnel targets is essential to getting this step right.
Take Action:
Now that the plan is prepared, it's time to take action. It's time to make the necessary changes and do the work in the trenches, so to speak. This phase takes time, depending on how much content work is necessary or website changes are needed.
The action phase seems like a short one. It is nothing of the sort. This phase is very much a "lather, rinse, repeat" step. Content should never stop being developed. Links are continuously worked on to acquire value and stay ahead of the competition. Keywords are always changing as search trends change. Active monitoring and data analysis are a must to stay ahead of the competition. Re-assessments are needed on a regular basis to evaluate efforts and discover new means of building traffic, leads & sales!
